IIMA adopts Mastering the Economic Crisis Simulation

Tycoon Systems announces the launch of it's Mastering the Economic Crisis business simulation game. The Mastering the Economic Crisis simulation was extensively tested by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) at the occasion of IIMA's annual global MBA student competition. IIMA has used Tycoon Systems' business simulations for their global business school challenge the 3rd year in a row and reveals that the Mastering the Economic Crisis simulation was much appreciated by the participating MBA students.

Florianopolis, Brazil, November 25, 2008

-- Tycoon Systems, a provider of web-based business simulations for executive education and MBA programs, today launches it's Mastering the Economic Crisis simulation. The complex business game simulates how the credit crunch and the current financial crisis affect the real economy, followed by economic recovery. The Mastering the Economic Crisis simulation was for the first time used by IIMA, India's top ranked business school.

It was a very good experience for the participating teams.
said Professor Atanu Ghosh, Faculty Coordinator at IIMA.
We are looking forward to using the IndustryMasters simulation game again in 2009, to our knowledge there is no better business simulation.

For the 3rd year the influential Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has chosen a Tycoon Systems business simulation as the basis for their annual global on-line business competition. During the run-up to IIMA Confluence 2008, Asia's largest business school summit held from 20th to 23rd November, again more than 1500 students from leading business schools across the globe have participated in a competition based on Tycoon Systems' IndustryMasters simulation. The 100 best ranked teams were invited to experience the Mastering the Economic Crisis simulation, a new IndustryMasters case study.

"The Mastering the Economic Crisis simulation closely reflects the current economic slump," said Thomas Lehnert, founder and CEO of Tycoon Systems. "Participants start a company in January 2007 in a growing world economy. In the middle of 2008 a crisis of the financial sector leads to shortages in credit supply for the real economy, which slows down investment, growth and demand. Simulation participants are challenged to find the right strategy for managing their company in such times of uncertainty."

Tycoon Systems is a business education software company and provides web-based business simulation games for usage in business schools and in executive education - and for individual learning. Tycoon Systems' flagship product IndustryMasters is a powerful developmental experience for next-generation executives. The simulation develops entrepreneurial and strategic management skills through an exciting learn by playing experience.

Martin Maiburg, Director Marketing & Licensing of Tycoon Systems commented: "We are the first to provide a business simulation that is permanently updated according to changes in real world economic trends and macroeconomic variables."

New Business Simulation Game Replicates Real-World Economy

Tycoon Systems Ltd. has released IndustryMasters, a new business simulation game that allows students, business people and others to sharpen their entrepreneurial and strategic management skills. Participants can log into the Web-based tool to play individually or in groups, gain first-hand business experience and get an evaluation of their performance.

Florianopolis, Brazil, October 24, 2007

Many people dream of running their own company. Well now they can get first-hand experience with the new line of business games from Tycoon Systems Ltd. The innovative product—called IndustryMasters—is one of the most realistic business simulation games on the market today, according to its chief developer and managing owner of Tycoon Systems, Thomas Lehnert.

"IndustryPlayer provides a game-like environment in which participants experience strategic management of a corporation", Lehnert said.

Thus, it could be best compared with a flight simulator, an interactive learning tool used to train next-generation executives.

IndustryMasters is a multi-player business strategy game that is based on a simulation of a real-world economy. The engaging game enables university students, business professionals and others to boldly go where they may have never gone before—and engineer a successful corporate environment. “Participants take the role of an entrepreneur and compete with each other in real-time for market leadership and shareholder value,” Lehnert said, explaining the object of the game.

A Web-based ready-to-use product, IndustryMasters is available in multiple editions, which are customized for usage either in corporate learning, in MBA programs, colleges or for training people without a business background. Participants can play individually or with a team to develop a strategy, undertake an entrepreneurial start-up and compete with each other in a real-time multi-player competition.

The game includes a real-time corporate accounting system, comprehensive industry analysis tools, and scoring and debriefing features. IndustryMasters is an opportunity to develop entrepreneurial and strategic management skills at a broad audience scale.

Tycoon Systems is also in the process of releasing a Competition Edition of IndustryMasters, on the occasion of “Confluence 2007”, Asia's largest Business School Summit. The concept for the Competition Edition was developed in partnership with the Confluence Team at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), India's top-ranked business school. “Like at last year's Confluence Summit, over 560 teams from 160 Business Schools, including Ross and Harvard BS, are participating in a competition based on our simulation,” Lehnert explained.

IndustryMasters is currently available in English, German and Portuguese, with Spanish and French versions due to be released soon. Licensing fees for the new business simulation game start at $1,000 for 25 accounts. For more information about IndustryMasters, visit www.masters-industryplayer.com. Next-Generation Business Simulation integrates Carbon Footprint

Designed for the next generation of business people, IndustryPlayer 5 is a business simulation which realistically reproduces all aspects of a corporation's business, including its interactions with stakeholders, competitors, and now even its greenhouse gas emissions.

Florianopolis, Brazil, May 8, 2007

Tycoon Systems, a leading business education software firm, has released IndustryPlayer 5, a new high-end business simulation technology. IndustryPlayer 5 simulates a corporation's business, based on real life industry data, and now even its carbon footprint.

"Corporations and the academic world are increasingly employing business simulations in their training offerings", said Thomas Lehnert, CEO of Tycoon Systems.

With IndustryPlayer, our customers will be able to offer the most realistic and engaging business simulation on the market, and the only one to raise awareness of sustainability.

IndustryPlayer simulates all aspects of a corporation's business, including it's relationships with the workforce, suppliers, competitors, consumers, banks, insurers and the government. The simulation is based on real world economic models and industry data. To address global warming, the new release simulates the CO2 emissions caused in production and an emissions trading scheme.

Participants are scored upon various financial performance indicators, their CSR policy and their carbon footprint. The new technology uniquely combines the educational value of a business simulation with the interactive functionality of Multi-player Online Games (MMOGs).

Players compete in real time and every decision has an immediate effect on the competitive environment of all players. IndustryPlayer is not only more realistic than conventional business simulations, it's also more entertaining.

Corporate Clients employ the IndustryPlayer technology using a custom made simulation of their own business. Such corporate business simulation creates new opportunities for world-wide training programmes, on-demand learning and internal competition events.

The Classroom Edition of IndustryPlayer is customised for Business Schools, providing a risk-free environment for students to benefit from experience-based learning. It is continually fine tuned based on the responses of participants from hundreds of international Business Schools, such as Kellogg, Ross, IIMA and Ceibs.

IndustryPlayer is deployed on campus, in distance learning and for international student competitions. A Consumer Edition is available online under http://www.industryplayer.com and is free to try. With more than 150,000 registered users, IndustryPlayer remains the most popular online business simulation world wide.
