IndustryPlayer Simulation
Participants undertake an entrepreneurial start-up, develop their strategy and invest their seed capital into a product portfolio. The simulation is based on real world economic models and features a total 245 industries (16 sectors).
Goal
To create more shareholder value than all other participants.
Roles
Students play individually or in teams (typical team roles are CEO, CFO, Chief Analyst, COO).
Simulation
Participants are competing against each other in real-time for market leadership and shareholder value. The virtual economy responds to every decision in real-time and at each game turn supply and demand are synchronized.
The simulation plays out dynamically, based on all participants decisions. In real-time, students see the outcomes of their strategies and the impact to the bottom line.
For the participant in an IndustryPlayer Simulation, the learning objectives are to:
experience the long-term outcomes of entrepreneurial decisions
get hands-on experience in corporate strategy, finance and accounting
anticipate the dynamics of industry competition
develop general manager and decision-making skills.
Reports
Real-time corporate accounting system (balance sheet, profit & loss, profitability ratios), comprehensive industry analysis tools and business graphs.
Scoring and Debrief:
Scoring and Debrief are based on financial performance (final equity, profitability (ROE) and market share).
