Our initial ambition was to make IndustryPlayer 6 more dynamic. Before developing Version 6, we have interviewed many players in order to find out more about their user experience.
Now that we are releasing IP 6, we would like to express our gratitude to all the contributors. The upgrade is far more fun to play and provides an even more realistic experience than any former version.
Supply and Demand (Economy Size) License Ratings, Trust Synergies and Market Shares are now calculated on the basis of the activities of those industry holdings which have made a turn within the last 60 minutes. The demand for a product grows dynamically with the number of competitors. Formerly, companies were able to maintain Market Share over a longer period of time. In IndustryPlayer 6, Market Share depends on the current activities of the active players.
The duration of each game level was reduced to 2.44 hours (84 turns, 7 simulated financial years). Many of our users were requesting a shorter duration of the game levels. Also, the maximum duration for playing one game level is now 6 days.
It's now easier to earn bonus points (bp). From Level 2 onwards, you will be rewarded with 1
bonus point as soon as your score equals 60 % of the current 30 days high score (HS).
Score > = HS: 5 bp
Score > 90% HS: 4 bp
Score > 70% HS: 3 bp
Score > 50% HS: 2 bp
Score > 30% HS: 1 bp
It's not possible anymore to up-size a company to 32x. The maximum company size is 10x and up-sizing is always 1x at a time. Up-sizing is only possible if a player's last turn was made within the 10 minutes preceding the decision to up-size a company.
Trust members can now make use of an in-game Skype functionality (VOIP calls and live messenger).
The maximum License Rating is 1.4. There is no National Industry anymore.
Like in the real economy, the value of a company's production facilities decreases with time (depreciation). Therefore, depreciation was included into the accounting system.
The Price Markup is now calculated as follows: Market Share Price Markup in % = Number of Competitors * 2 = (maximum 10%). Therefore the maximum individual rating is about 1.50.
The maximum size of a trust is limited to 30 members.
Trust discounts and stocks trading between players were abolished. Trust Synergy is now applied to Material Cost instead of Staff Cost. Materials Purchasing Synergy Savings: 10 % for a license within the same industry holding 1 % (maximum 5%) for each same license within a trust 0,25 % (max 5%) for each trust company of the same sector.
Takeovers are possible as long as the takeover target is smaller and if the sum of both companies is not exceeding 10x.
